Property Hive

Property Hive is a decade-old, self-hosted WordPress plugin built specifically for UK estate agencies. Rather than a general-purpose website builder, it’s designed around the property workflow: importing listings from a CRM, displaying them on an agency’s own WordPress site, and exporting them out to the major UK property portals.

What It Does

• Imports property listings from 30+ agency CRMs, including Loop, Street, Vebra Alto, and Reapit
• Exports listings to Rightmove, Zoopla, and OnTheMarket
• Provides property search forms, individual listing pages, mortgage/stamp duty calculators, and lead-capture forms
• Ships as a free, WordPress-theme-agnostic core plugin, plus an optional free purpose-built theme (“Honeycomb”)
• Paid “Complete” tier unlocks 70+ additional features and CRM import; a cheaper “Property Import Only” tier is also available

Model

Property Hive is open source (self-hosted) — the agent or their developer installs and runs WordPress and the plugin themselves; Property Hive does not host the site. This differs from fully managed SaaS website builders, which host the site on the vendor’s own infrastructure.

Track Record

Property Hive has 3,000+ active WordPress installs, a 4.9/5 rating on WordPress.org, and won a Negotiator Award (a UK estate-agency industry award) in 2023. It’s run by a small UK team founded by Steve Marks, who previously spent six years at proptech company Jupix. The same team also runs PropEmbed, a standalone listings-embed widget.
